| Description: | Beginning in the 2027Ð2028 academic year, this award will be granted to a mature student enrolled in the Bachelor of Integrated Studies program in the Faculty of Arts at UPEI. Preference will be given to applicants who identify as female or as members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, demonstrate financial need, and are enrolled as mature part-time student. Should no eligible part-time students apply, the award may be granted to a full-time mature student. |
| Background: | Established in May 2026 through the generosity of Willow Anderson, a proud transgender woman, to recognize and support students enrolled in the Bachelor of Integrated Studies program at the University of Prince Edward Island. Through the creation of this award, Willow hopes to support and empowerv members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and/or female identifying students in their pursuit of education and lifelong learning. The award aims to reduce financial barriers while celebrating mature students who demonstrate resilience, leadership, advocacy, or a commitment to building stronger and more inclusive communities. |
