University Delay: UPEI will delay opening until 10 am
Due to a power outage, UPEI is delaying opening until 10:00 am at the Charlottetown campus on Friday, September 4, 2026, with a further update at 9:00 am. The AVC Veterinary Teaching Hospital will remain open for emergencies.
When campuses are on a delay or closed, only essential workers are permitted to be at UPEI locations. Download the UPEI SAFE app from the App Store or Google Play to receive push notifications on your device.
