The UPEI Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for September 23–29 are Lauren Misener (women’s rugby) and Jahmal Boursiquot (men’s soccer).

The UPEI Panthers are looking forward to a week of competition at home and away. 

Writing Together: A Year of Meaning-Making and Friendship by Dr. Darcy Shaw and Dr. Penny Williamson will be launched on Tuesday, October 7, at 7 pm in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building, UPEI.

Dr. Andrew Zinck, a professor in the UPEI Department of Music, was presented with the Association of Atlantic Universities’ (AAU) 2025 Distinguished Teaching Award at the AAU’s fall meeting held in Halifax, Nova Scotia, on September 23.

A six-lecture audio series titled The Life and Works of L. M. Montgomery by Dr. Kate Scarth, Chair of L.M. Montgomery Studies, and Applied Communication, Leadership, and Culture, is now available through The Great Courses on Audible.

UPEI will mark the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation (September 30) with some focused events and observances on campus, including the TRC Mawi'omi on October 3.

The Robertson Library at UPEI is set to host their first-ever Kitchen Party on Saturday, September 27—a fundraising event in support of the “Love Our Library” campaign as well as a celebration of the Library’s 50th anniversary.

The UPEI Panther Source for Sports Athletes of the Week for September 16–22 are Kayla Batchilder (women’s field hockey) and Luc Doucette (men’s cross country).

The UPEI men’s and women’s basketball teams are set to compete at the annual Mickey Place Memorial Basketball Tournament. The tournament features nine teams from across Canada and runs from Friday, September 26, to Sunday, September 28.
