Ideal for students interested in education, social work, child development, or graduate work in children’s issues, this cluster of courses explores the idea of children and childhood from a literary, historical, and psychological perspective. Students will ask such questions as what is a child? How has childhood been represented in literature, arts, and music? How has the attitude towards childhood altered across time and cultures? And how does the mind develop through childhood?
