Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and eager to make a difference in your university community? Join our Student Ambassador Team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of innovation at UPEI. As a Student Ambassador, you will represent the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship, support entrepreneurial initiatives and events, and help fellow students tap into their entrepreneurial potential.

  • Enhance Your Leadership Skills: Gain valuable experience in leadership, event management, and communication. Ambassadors will have the opportunity to propose, plan, and run their own events at the Centre.

What roles are in the Student Ambassador Team?

  1. Social Media Content Strategists (2) 
    Social Media Content Strategists help expand the CCCE’s digital presence and strengthen our social media communications. The social media strategists develop content strategies tailored to different platforms and create engaging reels, graphics, and recaps to increase awareness of the CCCE’s events and initiatives.
  2. Engagement and Outreach Coordinators (2)  
    Engagement and Outreach Coordinators are the main points of contact between the CCCE and student societies on campus. They work closely with student groups to promote events and opportunities, helping ensure CCCE’s message reaches students across all levels of study.
  3. Communications Specialist (1) 
    The Communications Specialist supports the development of the bi-weekly newsletter, which keeps students and partners informed about upcoming events, deadlines, opportunities, and external initiatives.
  4. Event Support Officers (2)  
    Event Support Officers assist with the setup, smooth operation, and tear-down of events hosted by the CCCE. They provide the hands-on assistance needed to make participants’ experiences as positive as possible.
  5. Student Ambassador Coordinator (1)
    The Student Ambassador Coordinator oversees and assists the responsibilities of the volunteer Student Ambassador roles. The Student Ambassador Coordinator aids the growth, impact, and tracking of events, programs, supports, and initiatives of the CCCE.

How to Apply

Ready to join the team? Follow these steps to apply:

  1. Review the requirements: Ensure you meet the following criteria:
    • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at UPEI.
    • Passionate about entrepreneurship and the mission of the Entrepreneurship Centre
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.
    • Must be available to meet bi-weekly on Mondays from 3:00–4:00 pm.
    • Ability to commit to 4 hours per week (on average) and attend scheduled meetings and events.
  2. Prepare your application: Submit the following materials (all documents must be in PDF format):
    • Cover letter: Explain why you want to be a Student Ambassador, what you hope to achieve, and how your background aligns with the role. Let us know what roles you would be interested in taking on as part of the team!
    • Resume: Highlight relevant experience, skills, and achievements.
    • Unofficial transcript: Provide an up-to-date copy of your unofficial transcript (not applicable to first-year students studying in their first degree)
    • References: Provide letters of reference for two individuals who can speak to your qualifications and character. Preferably, one reference will be in an academic setting and the other in a professional setting.  
  3. Submit your application: Please fill out this application form to be considered for the Student Ambassador team.
  4. Interview process: Selected candidates will be invited for an interview to discuss their application and suitability for the role.
  5. Orientation and training: Successful applicants will participate in an orientation and training session to prepare for their responsibilities as a Student Ambassador.
