Island Climate Change Art Installation
An open art gallery at UPEI’s McDougall Hall on June 19 from 4–6 pm will showcase the Island Climate Change Art Installation. Part of UPEI’s Turning the Tide conference, the exhibit will feature a variety of local and regional artists.
Visitors will experience an interflow of visual art, poetry, and ambient soundscape by Heather Taves, alongside a live-painting mural creation by artist Julea Hope Boswell. Projections will showcase over 100 of Boswell’s paintings combined with Island-themed poetry by Laurie Brinklow and Len St-Aubin.
The evening will include screenings of three short films by local filmmaker Mille Clarkes and a self-guided interactive exhibit examining equity, vulnerability, and resilience on Prince Edward Island—co-led by public partners and researchers from the UPEI Centre for Health and Community Research. It will also feature photography, painting, and more.
Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, email turningthetide2025@gmail.com or call 902-620-5013.
