Aphid Alert Student Position - New Brunswick Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture & Fisheries

The Department of Agriculture, Aquaculture & Fisheries is looking to hire a student for the Aphid Alert Program based out of the Wicklow, NB office. Located at 39 Barker Lane in Wicklow, this position will be one half of a 2-person team that collects aphids from FLORA traps across the St. John River Valley from May until early September. The Aphid Alert program was initiated by the NB Seed Potato Growers Association in collaboration with the NB Provincial government and later Potatoes New Brunswick. The purpose of the program is to keep the seed growers abreast of aphid populations in their surrounding areas allowing timely: oil, pesticide, and top-kill applications, ensuring clean seed for NB potato producers.
