$25.62 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay, as per CUPE 1870 

Dr. Carolyn Peach Brown, Environmental Studies is seeking applications for a casual research assistant to help with the development of an open textbook for ENV 1010 Introduction to Environmental Studies.  The assistant will help to find open access resources and textbooks and help with their adaptation. The assistant will also help with technical aspects and formatting of the textbook. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Help to assess possible open access environmental textbooks or other resources suitable for ENV 1010
  • Help to adapt these resources as an open textbook for use in ENV 1010
  • Help to develop study aids for use with the open textbook
  • Help with formatting the adapted textbook

QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor of Environmental Studies with a preference to recent graduates of the UPEI Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree program 
  • Excellent knowledge of environmental studies and sciences
  • Excellent analysis and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently 
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Knowledge of Pressbooks is required
