Research Student Assistant - Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering
$16.60 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)
February to April 30, 2024
The Faculty of Sustainable Design Engineering is looking to hire a research student assistant for a project that investigates thermal engineering systems as part of a 4th edition book, Advanced Heat Transfer. A literature review of the latest state of knowledge in the field will be performed. Systems will be selected, and examples analyzed for thermal design problems in the book.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- New online materials will be developed for enhancements to an eBook style
- Interactive features make reading more engaging, including but not limited to, audio, quizzes, video, data visualization (charts, graphs available in an accessible way), and interactive problems and solutions
- The student will conduct independent studies and a final report will be submitted at the end of the project
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Well-organized, mature self-starter
- Well-demonstrated communication skills including oral, written, and electronic
- Strong interpersonal skills
Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
