About the Psychology Department, the University and the Island:

The Psychology Department is especially diverse in the approaches taken to research big questions about human mind and behavior. We value, use, and teach both quantitative and qualitative methods for learning about our world. We have a deeply rooted tradition in humanistic perspectives, while also embracing study in behavioral neuroscience, perception and cognition, social and developmental psychology, critical and historical perspectives, and clinical and applied psychology.
