Tenure Track Position - Faculty of Nursing *Reposted*
The University of Prince Edward Island, Faculty of Nursing invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level. We are seeking candidates who are interested in joining a vibrant academic community with a commitment to excellence in teaching, scholarship and research, and strong linkages to community researchers and practitioners. Our undergraduate and graduate programs are founded on a philosophy of primary health care. The position responsibilities include teaching in both the undergraduate and graduate programs, developing a strong program of research, developing undergraduate curriculum, and serving on committees internal and external to the Faculty of Nursing. The positions are subject to final budgetary approval.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a graduate degree in nursing, a completed doctoral degree or significant progress towards completion of a doctoral degree, demonstrated excellence in teaching, strong evidence of research and scholarly work, and eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses and Midwives of Prince Edward Island. Expertise in community nursing and experience with the health of Indigenous populations and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in health care is required. In the event a successful candidate for tenure track is not found, consideration for a term appointment with a completed Master of Nursing degree will be considered.

1. A teaching statement outlining the candidate’s teaching experience and philosophy of teaching.
2. A research statement outlining a clear program of research and well-defined scholarly agenda.
