Program Officer - Office of Continuing Education & Professional Development
$67,241 to $74,551 per annum

The Office of Continuing Education and Professional Development (OCEPD) is seeking applications for the position of Program Officer. Reporting to the Manager, this position will focus on assisting primarily with Workplace Harassment and Violent Prevention programming offered through the office.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the grant-funded Workplace Harassment and Violence Prevention Training – “Safe Work Spaces” at UPEI (University of Prince Edward Island)
- Track and manage the project budget – overseeing expenses and future projected costs for the project, updating the budget documentation accordingly
- Oversee the hiring of facilitators required for the overall success of the project
- Collaborate with facilitators, fostering these relationships as project activities are carried out, adhering to the grant project timeline
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of contracts for facilitators
- Collaborate with OCEPD staff and UPEI in the development of advertising and marketing materials for the grant project
- Plan and execute marketing activities
- Schedule all program activities, including a training schedule for the delivery of courses
- Maintain the online learning platform and website to a high standard of excellence
- Manage participant registrations and program-related communication for both streams of the programming, in consultation with OCEPD staff
- Generate reports to the government as required under the grant program specifications
- Oversee the organization, dissemination, and maintenance of course evaluations and surveys/research data, analyzing qualitative and quantitative data to inform program modifications
- Assist with the monitoring and evaluation of program quality, providing feedback to facilitators
- Contribute to other ongoing projects and activities in the OCEPD as required
- Other duties, as may be required
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business, Education, or a related field
- Preference given to candidates with 2 years or more of experience with project management, organizing, operations, managing budgets and generating reports
- Strong written and oral communication skills; the covering letter and resume will be used to assess written communication skills
- Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of various forms of technology; extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite of products including advanced Microsoft Word and Excel skills,
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse and busy (high-volume) client service environment, with superior interpersonal skills
- Intercultural competence and function as an effective member of a team
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability
- Experience in Adult Education, Instructional Design and/or Curriculum Development would be considered a strong asset
