Student Laboratory Assistant (Up to 11 Positions)- Department of Physics- Faculty of Science *REPOSTED*
$15.00 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)
January 8 to April 25, 2024
The Physics Department seeks applications for approximately eleven student laboratory assistants for the Winter 2024 term.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a general resource person for students during the laboratory
- Monitoring student operations in conducting experiments
- Ensuring all computer and lab equipment is used safely
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as applicable
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Enrolled as a UPEI student
- Applicants will have successfully completed the course for which they are selected to assist or have relevant alternative experience
- Preference will be given to students taking Physics as their major or minor
- Previous experience as a laboratory assistant is considered an asset

Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
