Student Research Assistant- Department of Applied Human Sciences- Faculty of Science
$16.60 per hour (plus 4% vacation pay)

The Department of Applied Human Sciences is currently seeking a well-rounded student for the position of Student Research Assistant for projects focused on food skills in individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and dietary choices of persons living with arthritis. The position will be for the Winter term 2024 with possible extension for the summer term. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Profs. Sarah Finch and Bill Montelpare.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supporting the research team with these and various research projects
- Assist with program development
- Assist with facilitation of a program
- Schedules, organizes and reports on status of research activities
- Assist with recruitment of participants, data collection and analysis
- Respond to emails relating to research
- Attend project meetings
- Assist with research report writing
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must demonstrate experiences and skills in qualitative and quantitative research
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills in English
- Strong familiarity with nutrition related data collection methods an asset
