The Department of Biomedical Sciences is seeking a sessional instructor (0.5) to assist in the delivery of the following course to first-year veterinary students during the Fall 2025 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval. 

Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person, unless otherwise specified as an online course. 

VBS 1110 – Microscopic Anatomy

This position involves assisting in the teaching of the weekly laboratories of microscopic anatomy (veterinary histology) for first-year DVM students.  The laboratories provide hands-on experience to develop independent skills with microscopes for the identification of cells and tissues. Other responsibilities include assisting in designing and delivering the midterm and final examinations. 

Qualifications:

Applicant requirements include previous training in microscopic anatomy, and a degree in a related field of biology or medicine, preferably a DVM degree. Experience in the creation of web-based instructional materials would also be an asset. 
 

Preference will be given to the qualified candidates with seniority on the UPEI Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members of the Academic unit.

Term: Fall 2025 (August 25 to December 19, 2025)
