The Department of Political Science at the University of Prince Edward Island invites applications for a sessional instructor to teach in the Fall 2026 semester. This position is subject to final budgetary approval.
Please note: the course offered below will be taught in person. It has been timetabled for Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4:00 to 5:15.
POLS-4720 INTERNATIONAL LAW (3 Credits)
This course examines the sources of international law, the changing nature of international legal principles, and the development of the institutional apparatus for the application of international law. Throughout the course, students weigh the effectiveness of international law as a reflection of the values of a developing international community and as a contribution to world order.
Lecture: Three hours a week.
Times: T/TH 4:00 to 5:15
Dates: 2026-09-08 - 2026-12-04
Qualifications:
Successful applicant will have at a minimum a Master’s degree in Political Science or the equivalent in a cognate discipline such as Law. A PhD is preferred.
Members of the Department of Political Science’s Sessional Roster or who have taught the course before will be given priority in consideration for this position.
