Sessional Instructor - Faculty of Business - Fall 2024
The University of Prince Edward Island has an opening for sessional instructor for the Fall 2024 semester. Full-time and term contract Faculty Members are encouraged to apply and may be considered if there are no members on a Sessional Roster who have Right of Recall or applied for the position and met the qualifications. These positions are subject to final budgetary approval.

UNIV3100 ENTREPRENEURSHIP VENTURE DEVELOPMENT
Entrepreneurship Venture Development immerses students in the principles essential for entrepreneurial success, with a focus on shaping business opportunities within a customer-focused framework. Through dynamic and collaborative approaches, participants will delve into the strategic planning of ventures across various sectors, including the unique dynamics of non-profit ventures. This program encourages ideation, prototyping/modeling, and the development of innovative solutions to authentic business challenges. Working in interdisciplinary teams, students will tackle challenges posed by external partners or propose their own, all while developing entrepreneurial acumen within a business-centric framework. This project-based course explores the strategic dimensions of entrepreneurship, embracing business opportunities, and shaping the future of innovative solutions across diverse sectors
Qualifications for teaching undergraduate courses:
Successful applicants will have a minimum of a master's level degree along with demonstrated expertise in the course subject or equivalent with a combination of qualifications and experience. Priority will be given to applicants with a relevant PhD.
Successful applicants should be able to demonstrate proven experience in organizing and leading entrepreneurial-focused events, competitions, or workshops; and possess the capability to facilitate a highly interactive and collaborative class environment, including leading field trips, with a strong emphasis on student engagement beyond traditional lecturing.
The successful applicant will actively collaborate with the Catherine Callbeck Centre for Entrepreneurship in the development and delivery of the course content.
Preference will be given to qualified candidates with seniority on the Sessional Roster and full-time and term contract Faculty Members.
