Diagnostic Services invites applications from medical laboratory technologists to provide technical and related laboratory services in the disciplines of histology, bacteriology, parasitology and clinical pathology.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful Technologist will:
- Open courier packages and enter samples into the Laboratory Information Management System
- Utilize and maintain the histology tissue processor, embed tissues, section quality histology slides, stain tissue slides, interpret stain quality
- Perform Immunohistochemistry staining and in situ hybridization (ISH) under the direction of a researcher and Lead Histology Technologist
- Perform PCR testing in Parasitology and Bacteriology Laboratories using automated and manual methods
- Perform bacteriology sample setup
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT) designation is required
- Experience with molecular diagnostic testing is considered an asset
- Good interpersonal communication skills are required
