Student Assistant - Social Media Assistant - McDougall Faculty of Business
$17.60 per hour, plus 4% vacation pay
July 1 to May 31, 2026
Working under the supervision of the McDougall Faculty of Business Administrative Team, a part-time social media assistant is required to work on initiatives related to events and activities in the McDougall Faculty of Business. Hours of Work are expected to range from 3-10 hours depending on the needs of the MFoB throughout the academic year.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will:
- Develop and provide input in the generation of social media content for the McDougall Faculty of Business, sharing events, announcements, information, and updates relevant to the MFoB
- Create reports that track reader engagement, and incorporate feedback into future posts to promote engagement
- Coordinate content generation and post scheduling for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and other platforms as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Current UPEI student
- Competence in social media communications and visual content generation
- Experience with readership engagement
- Strong writing and editing skills
- Ability to work independently with good time management skills
Priority will be given to University of Prince Edward Island students in accordance with Recruitment, Selection, Hiring and Employment Policies and the Procedures manual.
