In accordance with the UPEI Action Plan: Building A Culture of Trust, Safety and Inclusion, the University has committed to developing a new Harassment and Discrimination Policy and a Sexual Violence Policy (to replace the current Fair Treatment Policy and Sexual Violence Policy).

The Fair Treatment Policy Redevelopment Committee has been meeting since December 2024, and has been collecting feedback for the new UPEI Harassment and Discrimination policy through in-person and online consultations.
