UPEI announces the Panther Subway Athletes of the Week, September 10-16
Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and dedication to their respective sports. Congratulations to Emma Moore and Nick Robertson, the UPEI Panther Subway Athletes of the Week for September 10-16.
Emma Moore is a fourth-year science major from Charlottetown and a member of the UPEI Cross-Country team. Moore finished 20th of 68 runners in the 5 km race at the inaugural UPEI Cross-Country Invitational meet at Victoria Park in Charlottetown. “Emma had a great summer of training, and she had her best finish ever as a Panther,” said coach Colin MacAdam. “Great running by Emma and the rest of the Panthers.”
Nick Robertson is a first-year science student from Charlottetown and another member of the Panther cross-country team. Robertson kicked off his university sport career this weekend with an impressive 13th place finish out of 57 runners at the UPEI invitational meet. “We expected Nick to be an impact athlete for our program, and he certainly showed that he has the ability to run with the elite runners in the AUS,” said MacAdam.
