UPEI Panthers this week (January 9–15)
The UPEI Panthers have a full schedule of hockey and basketball during the week of January 9–15.
Wednesday, January 11:
7:00 pm: The UPEI Men’s Hockey Panthers (14-5-1) play against the Saint Mary’s University Huskies (13-7-0) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. UPEI has won all three games against the Huskies, having outscored them 19-6.
UPEI is proud to host the 2023 Cavendish Farms University Cup Men’s Hockey Championship from March 16–19, 2023. Tournament passes are available now at eastlinkcentrepei.com.
Friday, January 13:
***PLEASE NOTE: DUE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER AND THE INABILITY OF THE OPPOSING TEAM TO TRAVEL TO PEI, THE UPEI MEN'S AND WOMEN'S BASKETBALL GAMES VERSUS UNB HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL THURSDAY, JANUARY 26 AT THE SAME TIMES AT THE UPEI CHI-WAN YOUNG SPORTS CENTRE.***
6:00 pm: The UPEI Women’s Basketball Panthers (6-5) play at home against the University of New Brunswick Reds (6-5) at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. The Panthers look to end a three-game losing skid. UPEI defeated the Reds early this season with a score of 69-58.

7:00 pm: The UPEI Women’s Hockey Panthers (10-6-1) take on the Saint Mary’s Huskies (11-6-1) in Halifax, Nova Scotia. The Panthers are looking for their first win against Saint Mary’s this season.
8:00 pm: The UPEI Men’s Basketball Panthers (8-3) play at home against the University of New Brunswick Reds (4-7) at the Chi-Wan Young Sports Centre. UPEI lost their only matchup between the two teams in overtime 82-79.
Saturday, January 14:
7:00 pm: The UPEI Women’s Hockey Panthers play against the Dalhousie University Tigers in Halifax, Nova Scotia. UPEI has won two out of the three matchups with each game going to overtime or a shootout.
7:00 pm: The UPEI Men’s Hockey Panthers play the Acadia Axemen in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. The Panthers are carrying a 3-0 record against the Axemen, including two shutouts.
