Dr. Fred Kibenge publishes two aquaculture textbooks
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) at the University of Prince Edward Island is pleased to congratulate Dr. Fred Kibenge, professor, Department of Pathology and Microbiology, AVC, on the recent publication of two textbooks.
The first textbook entitled, “Aquaculture Pathophysiology, Volume I. Finfish Diseases,” is a diverse, practical reference on finfish diseases impacting aquaculture. The second textbook entitled, “Aquaculture Pathophysiology, Volume II. Crustacean and Molluscan Diseases,” is a concise, practical reference on shellfish diseases of significant risk to aquaculture.
The textbooks are targeted for veterinarians, fish health biologists and extensionists, fish pathologists, and fish health diagnosticians to read. Both volumes should be read in partnership as the principles and approach to the diagnosis and management of aquaculture animal species are similar. These textbooks were featured at the Aqua Bacteria 2023 conference in Chile on January 25, 2023.
If you are interested in purchasing the textbooks you can find them at usual retail outlets or on the Elsevier site.
