UPEI presents Theology on Tap on February 3

The UPEI Department of Religious Studies will present Theology on Tap on February 3, 2025, at 7:00 pm, at the Salvador Dali Cafe, The Arts Hotel, 155 Kent Street, Charlottetown.

Dr. Peter Koritansky, professor of religious studies and philosophy, will ask the provocative question, “Does Morality Depend on God?” Participants can expect an engaging talk, excellent discussion, and much fellowship and fun.

UPEI Athletics and Recreation receives 2023 Canada Games legacy funding for lighting project

The UPEI Department of Athletics and Recreation is thrilled to announce that the 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund has awarded funds to install lighting to enhance the sport and community experience at UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place.

The project is a collaboration between the Government of Prince Edward Island, the City of Charlottetown, Holland College, and the University.

Lauren Rainford and Kyree Thompson named UPEI Panther Athletes of the Week

Every week, UPEI Athletics and Recreation recognizes student-athletes for their achievements and contributions to their respective sports. The UPEI Panther Athletes of the Week for January 20–26, 2025, are Lauren Rainford (women’s basketball) and Kyree Thompson (men’s basketball).

Rainford, a fifth-year arts student from Toronto, Ontario, played very strong games on January 24 and 25 in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. She averaged a team-high 25.0 points along with 4.0 rebounds, and 2.5 assists in a weekend split with the Acadia University Axewomen.

Pizza Seminar

RCMP Recruitment Visit

The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) will be at UPEI for a recruitment visit. Come meet them at the library breezeway to learn about the recruitment process in detail, including the requirements, expectations for applying, and how to prepare for each stage.
