Dear University Community,

As we move into fall, we are eager to begin the process of rolling out a series of conversations and consultations to engage with University constituency groups on the development of UPEI’s 2025–2030 strategic plan.

"The commitment of the Elders, faculty, and staff is most impressive."

Dr. Angelina Weenie, from Sweetgrass Nation, Saskatchewan, was appointed dean of the UPEI Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies (IKERAS) in July of 2024.

What brought you to UPEI? Why did you choose to join the Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies?

This is an exciting opportunity for me to be part of IKERAS. I am from the Prairies and the East presents new learning and life opportunities.

Dear UPEI Community,

It has been an exciting time on the UPEI campus with the beginning of the Fall Semester—there is a “change in the air” as we settle into our routines. The New Student Orientation and Welcome Back to Campus events were extremely successful and I thank all those who were involved in ensuring we are all off to a great start.
