Discussion group about DUCKS: Two Years in the Oil Sands
The PEI Advisory Council on the Status of Women, in partnership with UPEI SVPRO, is hosting an on-campus discussion group on February 26, at 3:00 pm in Kelly Memorial Building, Room 210, to explore themes of gender-based violence, migratory labour, the environment, student debt and extractive industries in "DUCKS: Two Years in the Oil Sands" by author Kate Beaton. Snacks and emotional support are available during the event. It is not required to own a copy or have read the book prior to the event . Copies are available at the Robertson Library and Charlottetown Learning Library.
