This weekend sees the last regular season play for the Panthers before the holiday break. UPEI has just one game on the schedule: men’s hockey hosts the University of New Brunswick on Saturday at 7 pm in the MacLauchlan Arena on campus.

“This is a very big game for us,” said head coach Forbes MacPherson. “We have a very young team, and we have been focusing on the process of growing as a group. It is important that we have a really good effort to finish off the first semester.”

Important reminders about winter weather and university closures

The decision to "close"* UPEI due to weather is not made lightly. However, in weather situations where the potential risk to UPEI’s students and employees as well as property, is high, the University may close, meaning that classes and exams are cancelled, and services are reduced. In 2017, the University Closure Policy was approved by the UPEI Board of Governors and endorsed by the University Senate.
