Associate Director of Clinical Experience - Psychology Candidate

The Department of Psychology is pleased to present the first candidate for the position of Faculty Member and Associate Director of Clinical Experience for UPEI’s new Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) program. Each candidate will give two talks: the first is a simulated classroom presentation about their research and the second will outline their vision for the PsyD at UPEI. Please join us on Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 am where Dr. Raquel Hoersting will present her vision talk entitled "Clinical Training as an Integrative Approach: Service, Scholarly Practice, and Collaboration". The presentation will take place in MCDH 329.

Movie Talks @ RL: My Depression: The Up and Down and Up of It

In support of UPEI Mental Health Week, Relationships Matter, Robertson Library is presenting My Depression: The Up and Down and Up of It in our Movie Talks series. Join us for this entertaining but enlightening film on the symptoms, emotions, and side effects of depression. It will help you to understand someone suffering from depression a little bit better and those who suffer from depression will not feel so alone. A discussion/Q & A period will follow the film. Free popcorn. Everyone is welcome!

Staff & Faculty Brown Bag Lunch: Meet The Counselling Team

Faculty and staff are invited to come and meet the counsellors on campus during UPEI Mental Health Week 2018. This session provides you the opportunity to ask questions about counselling services, get to know the people who you are referring students to, find out what you can do to help students in need and ask any other questions you may have. MHW 2018: How to Help a Friend

This interactive session discusses effective ways of communicating and supporting a friend who is in need. The session will be led by two UPEI students and a counsellor will be present to contribute to the session and offer support as needed.
