Join us for this entertaining but enlightening film on the symptoms, emotions, and side effects of depression. It will help you to understand someone suffering from depression a little bit better and those who suffer from depression will not feel so alone. A discussion/Q & A period will follow the film. Faculty and staff are invited to come and meet the counsellors on campus during UPEI Mental Health Week 2018. This session provides you the opportunity to ask questions about counselling services, get to know the people who you are referring students to, find out what you can do to help students in need and ask any other questions you may have. Feel free to bring bring your lunch. Coffee and cookies will be kindly provided by Student Affairs.

In this workshop we will introduce you to Bullet Journalling (a planning system) and art journalling as two platforms for helping you stay on top of your priorities, including your mental health. Bring any type/size notebook and a pen/pencil with you to the workshop so you can get started!

MHW 2018: How to Help a Friend
This interactive session discusses effective ways of communicating and supporting a friend who is in need. The session will be led by two UPEI students and a counsellor will be present to contribute to the session and offer support as needed. Light snacks will be kindly provided by the Office of the President.
