The Path Ahead: The Journey to Reconciliation and Action Reform, 2024–2028

The UPEI Indigenous Strategic Framework 2024–2028 was developed through a consultative process with representatives from Lennox Island First Nations, Abegweit First Nations, the Native Council of Prince Edward Island, and the Faculty of Indigenous Knowledge, Education, Research, and Applied Studies (IKERAS).

The Indigenous Advisor also met with Elders, university students from many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit communities and UPEI’s Indigenous Student Advisor. Further discourse took place with the President, Vice-President, Academic and Research, respective Deans, faculty members, staff, and students in producing this strategy.
