Hosted by UPEI’s Experiential Education Department, this fair will bring together a diverse range of employers from various industries actively seeking to hire students and recent graduates. Key Details: The fair will take place on March 13, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm, at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. In case of inclement weather, the storm date is March 14, same time and location.

Attendance is FREE for students, and no registration is required. Peter is a five-and-a-half-year-old male neutered retired teaching beagle who is looking for a new home. He is a sweet and loving dog who loves to spend time with his people. He's the best dog to cuddle with and loves greeting you when you get home. If you want to feel loved, Peter is the dog for you.
He is looking for a new home because he is anxious of and doesn't get along with our other dog, so ideally, he would be the only dog in his new house. He does live with four cats, and he loves all of them and respects their boundaries. He doesn't have experience with kids but is very people friendly.
He has been diagnosed with social anxiety, so he has trouble reading the social cues of and communicating with other dogs. Partially due to this, he is also leash reactive to other dogs. He is currently on several medications for anxiety, and other than his issues with our other dog, he seems to be doing well in regard to his anxiety. He has had some trouble with house training but has been doing great lately, with only a few accidents in the last month. Peter also has mild hip dysplasia but currently does not need medication for it.
Peter really is a wonderful dog, and it was an extremely hard decision to begin the process to rehome him. I want him to have the best life, and I truly believe he is the perfect dog for someone, but he just needs to be without the stress of living with a dog that he doesn't like in order to live up to his full potential.

The faculty creating this program are interested in receiving student feedback and will use the information gathered in this study to help determine the program title. The International Student Office is hosting UPEI's annual Global Village in the W.A. Murohy Student Centre on Saturday, March 9, starting at 11:00 am! Global Village is a celebration of the multiculturalism and diversity that exists on campus, so students from all over the world showcase their culture and traditions, as well as help encourage cultural sensitivity and a global perspective.
The day will be broken up into two parts. The first part will be an exhibition that will run from 11:00 am to 2:30 pm. The different countries will showcase their countries, cultures, and traditions. Each country (or community) will have a table on which they will display anything they feel represents them. This could be food, cultural artefacts, or anything the representatives feel illustrates their culture best.
The second part will consist of a fashion show and performances beginning at 3:30 pm. In the fashion show, students will showcase their clothes/traditional attire. For the performances, we would love participants to come up with their own unique and creative performances that will highlight their unique cultural heritage within their given time slot.
Join us at Global Village for a day of cultural delights, vibrant performances, and immersive experiences!!!

Trombone, She Wrote: Music by Canadian Women Composers
Experience the expressive side of the trombone from a Canadian perspective, with works by Jocelyn Morlock, F. Jane Naylor, Cait Nishimura, Hope Salmonson, Barbara York, and the premiere of a work for trombone and loop station by Monica Pearce.
This musical celebration of International Women's Day features Department of Music faculty members Dale Sorensen (trombone and euphonium) with Magdalena von Eccher (piano).
Accessible parking is available, and the recital hall has an accessible entrance via elevator.

Louis de Gonzague Sebareze, MSc candidate, Environmental Sciences (Lacroix / Fofana Labs- Department of Biology/AAFC), will present “Generation and characterization of gene-edited potato for tolerance to light-induced greening,” and Vincenso Marin, MSc candidate, Environmental Sciences (van den Heuvel Lab, Department of Biology), will present “Stream flow and its effects on total suspended solids within the Dunk River Watershed.”

The Office of Commercialization, Industry, and Innovation (OCII) and UPEI Co-operative Education are hosting a joint event to build awareness of funding undergraduate co-op student placements through partnered Mitacs Business Strategy Internships (BSI) and Mitacs Accelerate grants. This event will be structured around information sharing and networking, where industry, community organizations, UPEI faculty members, and co-op students are invited to discuss collaborative project ideas and funding opportunities. This will provide a setting for external companies/organizations to visit UPEI, hear from Mitacs regarding funding, connect with faculty members with relevant expertise, and find co-op students interested in their projects. Co-op awards for students and employer of the year will also be presented during the networking part of the event.

University 100 invites everyone to attend a lecture by Dr. Ed MacDonald on the “History of Higher Education on PEI” on Wednesday, March 13, 4:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Room 117.
For more than 15 years, Ed has supported our program and students by delivering this lecture to provide history and context to the development of higher education and our institution. We are delighted to invite all to join us for Ed’s “last lecture” before his upcoming retirement from full-time teaching. Come and enjoy hearing about UPEI’s humble beginnings and be reminded of where we come from and what our mission has been. Join us after the lecture for refreshments in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main 201.

This symposium aims to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities of advancing equity, diversity, inclusion, and Indigenization (EDIID) within the University community. It will offer a unique platform for the University community to engage in dialogue and share experiences of integrating EDIID into course delivery and campus life. It aims to highlight current initiatives, gather new ideas, and build collaborative strategies for a more inclusive university.
Submissions to help shape the symposium as well as expressions of interest to present are welcome.

For new protocols, select "applications," and for renewal or amendment protocols, select "events."
UPEI ACC SOPs and Codes of Practice can be accessed through myUPEI at https://portal.upei.ca/facultystaff/administrativeservices/AVCAnimalCare/Pages/default.aspx.
Those protocols received after the deadline will be reviewed the following month. The committee requires at least one month for processing applications.

The Faculty of Business will host an Open House for the Master of Business Administration in Global Leadership (MBA-GL) program on Tuesday, March 19, from 4:30–6:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall.
This session will offer attendees the opportunity to learn more about the program and application process, have any questions answered, and meet with students, alumni, professors, and staff from the Faculty of Business.
Attendees will be able to apply on-site (please bring a laptop or mobile device) and have their UPEI application fee waived ($50 CAD value).
