Beading workshop sessions
Discussions cover topics such as the value of beading to Indigenous communities, how to decolonize the classroom, and how to incorporate Indigenous knowledge into your practice. Please note that this will be a safe space to ask any questions you may have. Attendance at the event is open to both novice and experienced beaders. Please RSVP to ensure we have adequate materials.

See Different Principles of DEI Certificate Program
Looking to build your skills and understanding around diversity, equity, and inclusion? The Experiential Education Department is offering the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training and certification program through the Canadian Centre for Diversity and Inclusion's See Different program. This free certificate program is open to UPEI students and staff under the age of 24.
UPEI instructor wins SSHRC Exchange Publication Award
Dr. Callum Beck, a sessional instructor in religious studies at the University of Prince Edward Island, has been awarded a $7,000 SSHRC Exchange Publication Award for his monograph, The Belfast Riot of 1847.
The SSHRC Exchange Publication Award is given out annually to support the publication of a manuscript written or edited by UPEI faculty in the social sciences and humanities. The monograph will be published by Island Studies Press.
