Meet the Dean and Meet the Artist
The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) and the University of Prince Edward Island are hosting an event to meet Dr. Dominique Griffon, the newly appointed Dean of the AVC, on January 29, 2024, from 12:30–1:30 pm.
This event will also celebrate Lorne Julien, the visionary Mi’kmaq artist and creator of the mural displayed in The McCain Foundation Learning Commons at AVC.
Island Lecture Series and Book Launch: The Bridge Effect
Presented by the Institute of Island Studies at UPEI, the Island Lecture Series will celebrate the launch of The Bridge Effect: Critical Reflections in the Age of Technological Solutionism, co-edited by Drs. Laurie Brinklow and Andrew Jennings. This event will feature a discussion of the effect of bridges—be they physical or digital—on island life and culture. The lecture and launch will be held from 7:00-8:30 pm in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building, UPEI.

MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program’s Panther Pitch 2024 is set to launch January 24
UPEI students are invited to the launch of the MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program’s “Panther Pitch 2024” on January 24 from 6:00–9:00 pm in Schurman Market Square, Don and Marion McDougall Hall.
The MacLauchlan Panther Pitch at UPEI is supported by the UPEI Experiential Education department and is part of the Harry W. MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program, which is dedicated to the development of students who have an entrepreneurial outlook and will potentially create and lead new business ventures on Prince Edward Island.
Faculty of Business Career Day
The UPEI Faculty of Business, in partnership with Experiential Education, will be hosting its 2024 Career Day on January 25, 2024. From 2:00--4:00 pm, local employers and associations will have tables set up in Don and Marion McDougall Hall to provide students with information about opportunities and services. From 4:00--6:00 pm, a networking mixer will be held in Schurman Market Square with snacks, light refreshments, and a cash bar.
Come prepared to put your best foot forward and make connections that can help you reach your goals!
International Student Employment Support Program Online Info Session
UPEI Experiential Education is accepting applications for its International Student Employment Support Program until March 1, 2024. If you are looking for more information about this program or have questions you'd like to have answered, join us for an online information session on January 26 from 11:30 am--12:30 pm.

2024 MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program's Panther Pitch Launch
Join us at the launch event on Wednesday, January 24, from 6:00–9:00 pm, where current UPEI students can connect with past Panther Pitch participants, members of the PEI startup ecosystem, and the MacLauchlan family.
This is an excellent opportunity to expand your professional network and learn more about the MacLauchlan Entrepreneurship Program's Panther Pitch competition. This year, a total of $62,000 in prize money will be awarded to students! Food will be provided.
