2024 Summer Job and Career Fair at UPEI March 13

The 2024 Summer Job and Career Fair, hosted by UPEI’s Experiential Education department, will take place on March 13, 2024, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre.

The fair will bring together a diverse range of employers from various industries actively seeking to hire students and recent graduates. Attendees will have the chance to network with employers and explore both summer job positions and full-time career opportunities.

History professor Dr. Edward MacDonald gives ‘last lecture’ to UPEI’s University 100 students

Dr. Edward MacDonald, CM, an award-winning professor of history at UPEI and Island historian, will give his “last lecture” to students in UPEI’s University 100 program on Wednesday, March 13, at 4:30 pm in SDU Main Building, Room 117. The lecture is open to the public.

The University 100 program helps students transition from secondary to post-secondary education, introducing them to the University and giving them key tools such as critical thinking, oral and written communication, and research skills.

Research on Tap--Render Unto Caesar: Catholics and the Alt-Right

The Internet has facilitated the creation of an Alt-Right movement that includes Catholics. This Research on Tap talk explores the ways in which such groups understand and use Catholicism (and the Internet) to attract followers to extremist and white supremacist movements.
