The University of Prince Edward Island competes every year for millions of dollars in research funding from various granting agencies.
The research activities at UPEI require the service and support of university infrastructure. Canada’s tri-council of federal granting agencies, consisting of the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC), the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC) and the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), have recognized the importance of this infrastructure and the potential financial burden it represents to universities. In response, the tri-council has created the Research Support Fund.
The Research Support Fund has been instrumental in advancing strategic research initiatives at UPEI. Although the allocation only partially covers the cost of maintaining and growing the research enterprise, UPEI develops annual performance objectives, indicators, and target outcomes.
For highlights of some of the benefits, see UPEI's Research Support Fund page.

As an instructor, you’ve set up a syllabus that clearly explains your expectations for where students will end up. Then you set them on the journey to that destination. However, some will get off track along the way. The information you provide, how you provide it and when you provide it will be key to getting them back on the right path or in keeping them on the right path. In this workshop instructors will learn strategies for the use of feedback and rubrics that they can use to accompany student assessments. This workshop takes place on Wednesday, June 5th from 10:30 to 11:30 am in Room 265 of the Robertson Library. REGISTER
