Undergraduate students working on a summer research project may register for the program. Dr. Sarah Glassford, assistant professor of history at UPEI, will lead a discussion entitled “Blood: It’s in you to sell. Why Canadians give and get blood for free.” The discussion begins at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, April 1 at the Pourhouse, above The Old Triangle Irish Alehouse in Charlottetown. In other countries, blood is treated almost as a commodity, where donors are paid, and blood has cash value. The Installation of UPEI's Eighth Chancellor, Dr. Don McDougall, will take place, rain or shine, on Sunday, March 30 at 2:00 pm in McMillan Hall at the W.A. Murphy Student Centre. Should there be inclement weather, the academic procession will gather at 1:20 pm in the Student Centre instead of at Don and Marion McDougall Hall as previously indicated. A notice confirming these details will be posted to UPEI.ca if necessary. All are welcome to attend the ceremony, we hope to see you there!
