UPEI Experiential Education hosts Queer Networking event
UPEI Experiential Education is hosting Queer Networking as part of Pride PEI's 2024 Festival from 3-5 pm at The Guild (111 Queen St. in Charlottetown). Members of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and allies are welcome to join us for an afternoon of casual networking. We encourage folks at any career stage and from any industry/sector to join! No registration is required.

In the second, third, and fourth years of UPEI's Bachelor of Sustainable Design Engineering program, students form small groups to participate in a year-long design and implementation project with a corporate or community partner. Described as "an opportunity for students to act as engineering consultants for a company or organization, where teams of students team solve an actual technical challenge from the partner's operation", the design clinic program is a truly hands-on, real-world learning experience.

UPEI faculty members awarded funding from Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada
Eight faculty members at the University of Prince Edward Island have been awarded a total of $988,500 from the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).
UPEI hosts 2024 international Korean and Asian Studies conference
The University of Prince Edward Island will host an international Korean and Asian Studies conference from June 27–28, 2024, in the Faculty Lounge, SDU Main Building.
The conference, titled “Confucian Humanism: Korean, Comparative, Interdisciplinary, and Contemporary Perspectives,” is organized by UPEI’s Asian Studies and Korean Studies program in consultation with the North American Korean Philosophy Association, which is affiliated with the American Philosophical Association.
