RCMP Recruitment Visit
The RCMP (Royal Canadian Mounted Police) will be at UPEI for a recruitment visit. Come meet them at the library breezeway to learn about the recruitment process in detail, including the requirements, expectations for applying, and how to prepare for each stage. This workshop is postponed due to weather and will be rescheduled in February. Accessibility Services invites colleagues to our session, “What are Executive Functions” on Thursday, January 30, 2025, from 12:00 to 1:00 pm in the TLC. Learn about executive functions, what they look like in action, and effective supports and strategies for instructors and students. Specifically, the session will cover prioritizing and goal selection; planning and organizing; working memory; attention and flexibility; self-regulation; inhibition and initiation; and execution and goal attainment.
UPEI Athletics and Recreation receives funding for track and field equipment upgrades
The UPEI Department of Athletics and Recreation is excited to announce that the 2023 Canada Games Legacy Fund has approved funding for essential track and field equipment upgrades at UPEI Alumni Canada Games Place. The funding will be used to acquire state-of-the-art apparatus such as starter blocks, timing equipment, throwing cage upgrades, and self-contained storage units.
UPEI extends condolences on the passing of Dr. Tim Goddard

The University of Prince Edward Island and broader community have suffered a tremendous loss with the passing of Dr. Tim Goddard, Professor Emeritus and former Dean of Education, on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, from brain cancer. UPEI extends condolences to his wife, Sally, also a retired UPEI employee, daughters Victoria and Kate, extended family, and colleagues and friends on PEI and around the world.
Meet the Veterans Affairs Canada Student Ambassador at UPEI
Would you like to learn more about employment opportunities with the federal government? The Veterans Affairs Canada Student Ambassador at UPEI will help you access federal employment opportunities and navigate the application process for student programs like the Federal Student Work Experience Program (FSWEP). He will assist with inquiries related to Veterans Affairs Canada and offer advice on securing federal positions after graduation. The Student Ambassador will be in Dalton Hall, Room 211, every Wednesday from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.
